Eliminate prejudice against Middle Eastern and Islamic countries by directly creating contact and dialogue between students, academics, business- owners, artists and working professionals.
Post 9/11, the Islamic religion has often been associated with acts of terrorism and intolerance, even though the religion in itself in no way postulates such an interpretation. One of the core concepts in the Qu'ran is the killing of an innocent corresponds to the killing of all humanity.
The need to properly understand that Islam does not equate terrorism is fundamental to properly assess a more accurate understanding of both the religion and the effects of it on contemporary culture.
